We Walk for Freedom rain or shine because those in slavery are worth it!
If you put the address 106 E Station Square Drive it should bring you to Parking Lot East which is by Station Square and where we will be parking and meeting before beginning the walk!
The location is a few large parking lots right beside the Smithfield Street bridge - also near the newly built apartments Glasshouse Pittsburgh. You will see the American Natural gas station as you pull in. It is also right across the street from the Station Square T Station.
Registration tables will be on site beginning at 8am as well as food, fundraising and organizations. We encourage everyone to be at the location by 8:45am due to registration or sign in or receiving your items to walk with. Registration will be available the morning of the walk for anyone who hasn't signed up yet!
Come wearing your Walk for Freedom gear or if you do not have any come wearing all black.
At 9:00am we will convene together to kick off the walk, the lines will be formed, and then we will walk across our city and loop back to the same location for a group photo and some celebration!
Parking may cost around $5. There are many local restaurants and coffee shops nearby for after the walk as well!
