How BCD Travel Helped Change the Story
Sometimes change begins with a single moment of awareness.
After seeing A21's Can You See Me? campaign displayed in Heathrow Airport, a BCD Travel employee shared the campaign with her leadership team. The company later invited A21 to equip members of their team through human trafficking awareness training, helping employees understand how trafficking occurs and how to recognise the signs.
Not long after, one employee who had participated in the training recognised indicators of trafficking while travelling and was able to alert the appropriate authorities, leading to victims being identified and supported.
Inspired by the impact of the partnership, their CEO later decided to run a marathon with his team to raise funds for A21's work. With the right tools and messaging, that single effort sparked something bigger. Ten major corporations were inspired to contribute £15,000 each, raising a total of £150,000 to support the fight against human trafficking.
What began with one employee noticing a campaign became a network of businesses choosing to take action.
