The A21 Campaign is passionately committed to abolishing slavery everywhere, forever, focussing our efforts on eliminating human trafficking.


Our goals include:

  • Identifying and rehabilitating survivors
  • Raising awareness and educating at-risk persons
  • Identifying and assisting in the prosecution of traffickers

 

Overview: 

A21 is looking for individuals who are equally passionate about this cause to partner and volunteer with us for agreed periods of time. This could be for 3 to 12 months or a short term commitment. As a valuable member of our team, an unpaid volunteer will do everything they can to achieve our goals, within the limitations of their specific project or allocated role. Please understand that submitting this application does NOT guarantee you a position as a volunteer, and that A21 has full discretion to select whom we feel to be the most appropriate candidate.

As part of the procedure for processing your application and evaluating the level of suitability for this volunteer position, A21 may obtain an investigative report. This report may include information gathered through personal interviews with third parties, such as prior employers, family members, and business associates with whom an applicant is acquainted. Further details are specified in the reference section of this application. Enquiries may also include information regarding character, general reputation, and personal characteristics.
 

What volunteering with A21 UK could look like:

Awareness, Prevention, & Education

Opportunities:

  • Communications and Marketing Coordinator
  • Events Coordinator
  • Presentation Delivery Assistant

Key Responsibilities would include:

  • Develop and execute awareness campaigns.
  • Coordinate events and presentations.
  • Engage in partnership and network building.

 

Fundraising and Strategic Partnerships

Opportunities:

  • Partnership and Research Assistant

Key Responsibilities would include:

  • Communication with supporters and partners.
  • Researching grant and campaign opportunities in the UK and Europe.
  • Assist in pitching partnership opportunities to businesses.

 

Victim Identification and Safeguarding

Opportunities:

  • Project Assistant for Can You See Me (CYSM)
  • Rescue Research and Development Support

Key Responsibilities would include:

  • Assist in victim identification campaigns.
  • Support research and development for rescue initiatives.
  • Provide interpretation services during operations.

 

Intake Open To Applications:

  • March - June
  • July - October
  • November - February

 

Requirements:

  • Must be 18+ years old and legally eligible to volunteer in the UK for a minimum of 3 months
  • Strong communication skills
  • Willingness to commit to a minimum of 1 day in-person and a maximum of 3 days per week (hybrid arrangement)
  • DBS clearance
  • Specific desirable skills that may vary per role (e.g., video editing, events planning, public speaking, administrative competence)

Depending on your interests, passions, and skills we will place you within one of these categories. This will be discussed with you at the interview stage.
