For the past 10 years, Walk For Freedom has been an integral part of our mission, and a highlight each year for our global community. Together, we’ve mobilized hundreds of thousands of participants across 500+ cities worldwide, raised awareness of human trafficking to billions of people, and seen countless lives transformed through your unwavering support. We are incredibly grateful for the stories of freedom that have emerged from walks across the globe, and none of this would have been possible without you. Thank you for being a vital part of this journey.    

The fight against human trafficking is ever-evolving, and as we continue to confront this complex crisis, it’s essential that we remain adaptable and strategic in our efforts. After 10 years of tremendous impact, we are excited to announce that Walk For Freedom is entering a new chapter. In 2025, we’ll be transitioning to a hybrid event called the Global Freedom Summit – a one-day event combining both virtual and in-person elements. This new format allows us to carry forward our mission of raising awareness, mobilizing communities, fundraising to advance our work, and empowering local action on a global scale.

We know this shift is a significant one, not just for us, but for all of you who have worked tirelessly to make Walk For Freedom such a powerful movement. We’d like to share the reasons behind this change and why we believe now is the right time to make this transition:

• Evolving for Greater Impact: This change is a response to the shifting landscape of human trafficking, as well as the valuable feedback we’ve received from hosts like you. It’s a strategic step to enhance engagement, scale our efforts, and increase community action worldwide.
  
  
• A More Inclusive & Dynamic Approach: The Global Freedom Summit combines virtual and in-person experiences, overcoming geographical limitations and enabling us to mobilize global communities in a more accessible and impactful way.
  
  
• Scalable for Every Host: Whether you’re hosting a watch party in your living room or organizing a larger community gathering, the new format allows for flexibility. Every event—no matter the size—can create ripples of impact.
  
  
• Advancing Our Mission: By embracing new technologies and adaptive strategies, we’re ensuring that our movement stays ahead of the curve in the fight against human trafficking for years to come.

We are more passionate than ever about raising awareness, safeguarding communities, and preventing trafficking. As we step into this new chapter, we’re confident that this fresh approach will empower more communities and bring even greater impact.
